MURAL DESIGN & INSTALLATION

DUBLIN BASKETBALL COURT

Looking to inject new life into a well-worn community space, I worked with the City of Dublin to design and install murals inside the keys of this basketball court. The project specified that the art be abstract in nature — without any lettering or anything representational allowed. Titled Balancing Act 1 and Balancing Act 2, puzzle-like forms stack and lean on each other, always on the verge of tipping, creating playfulness, movement, and a dynamic energy. To add even more depth and interest, I introduced an “overprint” effect—where hues layer transparently, shifting as they overlap. The outcome is art that moves as much as the game itself.
