Bronze Holbein

After discovering a distant biological connection to the Renaissance painter Hans Holbein, Nathaniel Holben took up the cheeky artist moniker “Bronze Holbein”. A metal artist who welds and casts sculptures, “cheeky” is a consistent theme found in his work. Mostly welding together humanoid-esque robots it seemed obvious what his logo should be. After going through a series of sketches I found a simple figure that captured the character and structure of the sculptures. Pairing the industrial, but friendly, look of DDC Hardware nicely completed the brand mark with its radius corners and symmetry when writing out the name.
